Resurrectio
28:1 And in the evening of the Sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, Mary Magdalen and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre. [n. 2418]

28:4 And for fear of him, the guards were struck with terror, and became as dead men. [n. 2428]
28:5 And the angel answering, said to the women: fear not; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. [n. 2429]
28:6 He is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, and see the place where the Lord was laid. [n. 2432]
28:6 Non est hic: surrexit enim, sicut dixit. Venite, videte locum ubi positus erat Dominus. [n. 2432]
28:7 And going quickly, tell his disciples that he is risen, and behold he will go before you into Galilee; there you will see him as he has foretold it to you. [n. 2433]
Ibi eum videbitis, ecce praedixi vobis. [n. 2433]
28:8 And they went out quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy, running to tell his disciples. [n. 2434]

28:10 Then Jesus said to them: fear not. Go, tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, there they will see me. [n. 2440]
28:10 Tunc ait illis Iesus: nolite timere. Ite, nuntiate fratribus meis, ut eant in Galilaeam, ibi me videbunt. [n. 2440]

28:14 And if the governor hears this, we will persuade him, and secure you. [n. 2449]

28:16 Undecim autem discipuli abierunt in Galilaeam in montem, ubi constituerat illis Iesus. [n. 2451]

2417. After having completed the mysteries of the Lord’s passion, the Evangelist treats of the triumph of the Lord’s resurrection: and it is divided. For
Quia
first, he describes how the disciples knew of Christ’s resurrection through hearing;
primo ostenditur, quomodo discipuli cognoverunt Christi resurrectionem per auditum;
second, how they knew through sight, that through hearing and sight sure testimony might be given.
Concerning the first,
Circa primum
first, he sets down how they knew through hearing from the women;
primo ponitur quomodo per auditum a mulieribus;
second, how they knew from hearing from the guards. The second is at who, when they had departed, behold some of the guards came into the city.
secundo quomodo a custodibus.
Concerning the first, he does two things:
Circa primum duo facit.
first, he tells how the women knew through an angel;
Primo dicit, quomodo mulieres cognoverunt per angelum;
second, how they knew through seeing Christ, at and they went out quickly from the sepulchre.
Concerning the first, three things:
Circa primum tria.
first, he sets down the persons to whom the revelation was made;
Primo ponuntur personae, quibus facta fuit revelatio;
second, the angel who revealed it;
secundo angelus revelans;
third, the revelation.
tertio revelatio.
The second is at and behold there was a great earthquake; the third, at and the angel answering, said.
